Mitch Williams was named president and CEO of KFSA in April, 2012. He has a long and successful career in cooperative and independent agribusiness management. His experience includes positions with Cargill, Inc., Koch Industries, Garden City Cooperative and Ag Partners Cooperative, Inc.
Williams was born in Montana and spent time in Missouri and Kansas before attending Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He serves on the board of directors for KS Cooperative Council, ProValue, LLC, AgServices, LLC and Triangle Insurance.
Mitch and his wife, Heidi, live in Hutchinson, KS, and have three adult children: Chelsey, Landry and Kenny. They also have two children at home: Barkley, and Naomi. In his spare time, Williams enjoys spending time with his family and following their activities. He also enjoys watching and participating in sporting events.
Chief Financial Officer
Amy Chambers joined KFSA in February 2007. As Chief Financial Officer, she oversees the agency's accounting and finance operations and manages KFSA's administrative contracts with Agri-Business Benefits Group, Kansas Cooperative Council, ProValue, Ag Services and Safety Resource Alliance. She also is in charge of the agency's technology capabilities and helps determine and implement agency policies.
Born and raised in Wichita, Kan., Chambers has a bachelor's degree in accounting and an MBA from Wichita State University, with an emphasis in information technology. Her parents were raised in agricultural settings - Chambers' father grew up on a dairy farm outside Kinsley, and her mother was raised on a farm outside of Windhorst, Kan. Both farms are still actively maintained by her family.
Chambers came to KFSA after serving as an ERP project manager for ICM, Inc., in Colwich, where she helped implement the company's new business management software. In Wichita, she was the controller for Ritchie Paving Inc. (for which she worked seventeen years) and Phonetics, LC, the manufacturer of Switchmaxx, a Web-based software program used by rural telecommunications companies and cooperatives.
Chambers is a member of the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives and serves on her local church's finance committee. She and her husband, Richard, live in Wichita with their two children, Caitlin and Jacob. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, music, reading and a variety of outdoor activities.
Chief Operating Officer
Scott Anderson has been with KFSA since 1991, and currently services as Chief Operating Officer. Anderson spent 22 years serving in the Risk Management department of KFSA while also managing Ag Services, LLC, a safety and compliance organization that serves hundreds of locations in multiple states.
As Chief Operating Officer, Anderson oversees the operations of KFSA company-wide while providing strategic direction in operational processes and procedures.
Born in Abilene, Kan., he graduated from Emporia State University with a bachelor's degree in management and business administration. Anderson holds professional designations from the Insurance Institute of America and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Anderson currently resides in Hutchinson with his family.
Vice President, Sales
Lee J. Gleason was born and raised in Kinsley, Kan., where he grew up on his family's farm. After graduating from Hutchinson Community College and Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Okla., he became a manager for Winter Livestock in Dodge City and Turner Farms in Great Bend.
In 1997, Gleason became an independent insurance agent in Hutchinson, selling health and life insurance to farmers. He came to KFSA in 2002 as a commercial accounts manager, serving customers in northwest Kansas and northeast Colorado. When KFSA purchased Elliott Insurance Management in 2005, a downtown Hutchinson business, Gleason was chosen to head up Elliott as the general manager. Elliott provides auto, home, life, health and business and commercial insurance to people who live in the Hutchinson area, as well as farming operations in Colorado and northwest and northeast Kansas. He received his Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist designation in 2007.
Gleason is a member of the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce, Hutchinson AMBUCS and serves on the golf tournament board for the Training and Evaluation Center of Hutchinson (TECH), a nonprofit organization that serves the developmentally disabled. In addition, Gleason serves on the board of directors for Interfaith Housing and Kansas Association of Insurance Agents.
Gleason lives in Hutchinson with his wife, Lisa. Away from the office, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, tinkering with cars, working in his yard and spending time with friends.
