Jeff was born in Herington and grew up in Lincolnville, Kan., where his family owned and operated a petroleum marketing business. Growing up in the family business, working for two years as the Operations Manager on the bulk oil and TBA side of the business, taught him the dynamics of the petroleum marketing industry.

He graduated from Emporia State University in 1997 with a Bachelors of Science degree in education. Jeff has been in the insurance industry since 2000 with two other organizations. One of these was national in scope and specialized in trade association programs. In the summer of 2008, he came to KFSA as a commercial accounts manager. With experience in the marketing, underwriting and risk management areas of commercial insurance, he has seen a growing need for risk management awareness and is pursuing his designation as an Associate Risk Manager (ARM).

In the fall of 2008, Jeff and his family moved to the Denver, Colorado area to assist with Colorado accounts and new business development. He and his wife, Anna, have a daughter and a son. He enjoys spending his spare time with the family, is an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and loves to play golf.
