Scott VanCuren joined KFSA in September 2008 as a systems analyst. A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Professional, VanCuren has more than a decade of experience in the information technology (IT) industry.

For the past five years, he owned and operated Kindled Technologies in Peabody, Kan., a business-to-business IT services company. At Integrated Solutions Group in Wichita, VanCuren  provided network administration to offsite customers of Integrated Solutions Group. Prior to that, he administered and installed proprietary medical software on Unix-based systems at Professional Computer Management, Inc., also located in Wichita.

Approximately half of his time is spent working in-house at KFSA, performing duties such as network, server and workstation maintenance. The other half of his work includes assisting farm cooperatives across Kansas that may benefit from his technology expertise.

VanCuren was born in Wichita and graduated from Peabody High School. He and his wife, Shallom, have two young sons. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, going to the movies, and trying out new software and technologies.
