Mike Pesek, CPCU, CLU President/CEO Mike Pesek was named president and CEO of KFSA in 2005 after serving in executive leadership positions with Nationwide Insurance. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Nationwide is one of the largest insurance and financial services providers in the world and consistently ranks around 100 on the Fortune 500 list. He also was president of Nationwide Agribusiness and Farmland Mutual Insurance, located in Des Moines, Iowa. His expertise in insurance includes designations as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Chartered Life Underwriter and Accredited Adviser in Insurance. Pesek was born in Cleveland, grew up in Independence, Ohio, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing from Ohio State University. He attended graduate school at the University of Dayton (Ohio) and the University of Missouri Graduate Institute of Cooperative Leadership. Pesek serves on the board of directors for the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Reno County, Kansas Cooperative Council and Kansas State University's Arthur Capper Cooperative Center. He and his wife, Marsha, live in Hutchinson, Kan., and have three adult children: Elizabeth, Mickey and Lauren.
