Greg Johnston
Commercial Accounts Manager

Greg Johnston is a KFSA commercial accounts manager. In this role,
he manages and services commercial agribusiness insurance accounts.
Johnston was born in the small town of Yale, Okla. He received a
bachelor's degree in agricultural education from Oklahoma State
University, and a master's degree in agricultural adult and occupational
education from Kansas State University.
Before he came to KFSA, Johnston taught agriculture for twenty-five
years at Haven High School and Hutchinson Community College. On the
collegiate level, he taught and coached livestock judging and was a
part of several national championships. Johnston also managed the
college's cow herd and Countywide Bull Test Station and was an HCC
recruiter.
In 1990, he was awarded the Teaching Award of Merit by the National
Association of Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture. From 1994 to
1998, Johnston served as president of the National Association of
Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture. During his tenure at HCC, he
was named Outstanding Teacher on Campus.
Johnston has been with KFSA since 1998. He spent his first six years
in the risk management department, where he developed training materials
and employee training.
He and his wife, Nita, have two children. His daughter, a K-State
graduate, works in food science. His son works in construction.
Johnston's personal interests include family, friends and golf.
