A commercial accounts manager for KFSA, Dave Vogel works with existing clients and prospects in central and northeast Kansas. He joined the agency in January 2009.

Vogel was born in Dodge City and grew up on a farm near Wright, Kan., that was chiefly a wheat and cattle operation. He graduated from St. Mary of the Plains College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and mathematics in 1991. Two years later, he received an MBA from Fort Hays State University.

Throughout his career, Vogel has been involved in sales and sales management. After graduation, he worked three years for the High Plains Journal as a territory account manager. During that time, he was a member of the National Agri-Marketing Association.

From 1996 to 2001 he worked for Feist Publications. Most recently, Vogel was the statewide district marketing manager for Federated Mutual Insurance in Kentucky. At Federated, he earned the Chairman’s Council award for five years.

Away from work, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, coaching youth basketball and soccer, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Tricia, have two daughters and a son.
