|
Amy Chambers joined KFSA in February 2007. As chief financial
officer, she oversees the agency's accounting and finance
operations and manages KFSA's administrative contracts with
Agri-Business Benefits Group, Kansas Cooperative Council, ProValue,
Ag Services and Safety Resource Alliance. She also is in charge
of the agency's technology capabilities and helps determine and
implement agency policies.
Born and raised in Wichita, Kan., Chambers has a bachelor's
degree in accounting and an MBA from Wichita State University,
with an emphasis in information technology. Her parents were
raised in agricultural settings - Chambers' father grew up on a
dairy farm outside Kinsley, and her mother was raised on a farm
outside of Windhorst, Kan. Both farms are still actively
maintained by her family.
Chambers came to KFSA after serving as an ERP project manager for
ICM, Inc., in Colwich, where she helped implement the company's
new business management software. In Wichita, she was the controller
for Ritchie Paving Inc. (for which she worked seventeen years) and
Phonetics, LC, the manufacturer of Switchmaxx, a Web-based software
program used by rural telecommunications companies and cooperatives.
Chambers is a member of the National Society of Accountants for
Cooperatives and serves on her local church's finance committee. She
and her husband, Richard, live in Hutchinson with their two children,
Caitlin and Jacob. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time
with her family, music, reading and a variety of outdoor activities.
